The approach taken in the design of the Mili and Mila chairs was to use low carbon and low VOC materials, which could also be prototyped and manufactured with state of the art routing technologies.

The Mili chair is made of two bands of 3/4” thick bent plywood pre-cut on a CNC router and lined with a low VOC acrylic lacquer. The Mila chair featured a glued laminated wood curved frame (pre-formed on a CNC router) and a recycled metal upholstered seat.

Both chairs were designed to be zero waste.
